MY BACKGROUND
After 12 years of teaching Art and managing a department in South London based secondary school I decided to change career completely and re-train as a personal trainer. Fitness was a passion that crept up on me alongside my teaching career. Initially I used running as a way to manage stress and support my mental health, then I found CrossFit which taught me so much about the joy of weight training. From that I also moved onto gymnastics and Calisthenics and working with your own body weight. This provided the perfect groundwork to begin Aerial training. I have trained in Trapeze, Straps, Rope and Hoop and created a performance piece on Spanish Web.

I feel my background in Art and my emphasis on creativity is something that helps keep a varied and interesting approach to how I deliver personal training. I believe you can create a dynamic and challenging workout in any circumstance whether the limitations are physical contraindications or limited equipment, there is always a way to train.

Alongside my personal training I am also a passionate women’s advocacy work. I campaign and raise awareness of Economic Abuse. I contributed to the domestic abuse bill to highlight economics of abuse both during and post separation soon to come through parliament. I have also featured in Red Magazine and featured in The Times & The Sunday Times newspaper, as well as being interviewed on podcasts from the charity and the finance sector. By choosing Nebu Fitness you choose to support the unpaid work I do supporting victims of Domestic Abuse and political campaign work.
